Border Patrol chief Carla Provost does not approve of 10,000 agents belonging to a violently racist, misogynist Facebook group. “These posts are completely inappropriate and contrary to the honor and integrity I expect from our agents day in and day out. Any employees found to have violated our standards of conduct will be held accountable.”
What does Provost consider to count as holding people accountable for graphic, sexually violent, doctored images of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and posts mocking the deaths of migrants. From what Ocasio-Cortez and other members of Congress who toured border facilities on reported, the cruelty and racism of the Facebook posts absolutely reflects how border agents treat detained migrants.
