When Luis Fernando Camacho stormed into Bolivia’s abandoned presidential palace in the hours after President Evo Morales’s sudden November 10 resignation, he revealed to the world a side of the country that stood at stark odds with the plurinational spirit its deposed socialist and Indigenous leader had put forward.

With a Bible in one hand and a national flag in the other, Camacho bowed his head in prayer above the presidential seal, fulfilling his vow to purge his country’s Native heritage from government and “return God to the burned palace.”

Where ever there is conflict and chaos the US will be there to make it worse. It just can't mind its own business and let the rest of the world mind theirs. But the US neglects its own people. It is 25th on the UN Human Development Index adjusted for inequality. Every year the US falls further behind.

Thank you for your insightful comment. I hope to see evidence of US involvement in Bolivia's coup. It is most probably there, but remains to be thoroughly revealed.

This guy sounds worse than that guy in Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro. When they start ranting about oppressing the indigenous people in their nations, that sets off all of my alarms.

Stephen, there is a mountain of evidence that the US was involved. You can start here: .informationclearinghouse.info/52537.htm

It is merely because the US does not belong to the US people. It is owned by the elite who constantly corrupt all influential people to rule over the vast majority. And of course, they want to spread their power to the whole world.

Anybody who doesn't see the CIA all over this coup d'etat has to be a special kind of stupid.

Unfortunately, Stephen, central to the CIA's mission is not to leave evidence. Eventually it comes out, but in the meantime, what we can go on is the empirical evidence provided by the entire 70 year legacy of the agency's misdeeds and treacherous activity. And this coup has CIA fingerprints all over it. Think of it this way: no one seems to object to condemning Trump with no evidence based on his history of dishonesty. So it should be far easier to condemn an agnecy that has done more harm than Trump has by an infinite and overwhelming order of magnitude.
