Big names weigh in on final unresolved US Senate election

Although it is a TX paper running an AP story, I  present this from the Longview News Journal, an excellent TX paper that endorsed Beto for Senate.

High-profile politicians are throwing their support in a U.S. Senate election runoff in MS, the last unresolved Senate race of the federal midterms.  Joe Biden on Monday issued a statement endorsing Espy, and Cory Booker of New Jersey campaigned for Espy in Hattiesburg.

"In order to protect these programs and continue to make progress, your voice must be heard at the ballot box by casting your vote," Biden said.

Booker told a diverse audience at the University of Southern Mississippi that America is in a "moral moment" and Espy will  help people who are living in poverty and students who face high levels of debt. "Do not assume that this election doesn't matter. Do not assume that it's a lost cause."
