Biden Doesn't Want to Debate Sanders Anymore

Author 512932
Message Al Hirschfield

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday suggested there should be no more televised debates for the remainder of the 2020 Democratic primary, signaling an unwillingness to spar on stage again with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont next month.

Ater a virtual news briefing on the coronavirus pandemic conducted from his home in Delaware, Biden was asked about the Sanders campaign’s statement to The New York Times on Tuesday that the senator would appear in an April debate if the Democratic National Committee proceeded with organizing the event.

Pressed on whether he, too, would participate, Biden said: “My focus is just dealing with this crisis right now. I haven’t thought about any more debates. I think we’ve had enough debates. I think we should get on with this.”

Not surprising, Biden is seeking to perpetuate the big lie that he has already won, the lie that MSNBC and CNN have perpetrated in league with the DNC.

Biden has good reason to avoid another debate. His cognitive functioning is diminished.

It's truly astonishing that the Establishment has demonstrated that it can, if it so wishes, completely marginalize to the point of virtual oblivion, someone who, about 48 hours prior, was generally considered to be the likely Democratic Presidential nominee.

The mind reels... and then vomits.

The DNC may just want a debate to expose Biden for being the shell of a man the older people still feel he still has it. They would expose him because they, the DNC, is afraid he may hit that 1991 delegate threshold that would eliminate that second ballot they are so hoping for so they can put their choice, Kamala Harris, as the nominee.

Another election I'm so going to resent. But I go, I vote, if only Stacey Abrams is there it won't hurt so much.

Biden is an anaemic, insipid, elderly male, who represents the past. If he is one of the candidates in November, undecided voters will be more attracted to Trump, who, with all his empty bluster, at least doesn't talk like a traditional phoney politician.

In the end it won't matter who wins, because none of them is really in charge of the current corporate plutocracy.

trump will unmercifully destroy and humiliate Biden during the debates which will ensure we are re-trumped. The schoolyard bully vs the defenseless kid. It will be extremely painful to watch.
