(None of this has showed up in American media thus far, so the Independent gets the scoop!)

Misinformation accusing Texas Democrat of receiving illegal donations from state party goes viral after massive fundraising haul. It remained unclear where the misleading accusations (by Xavier Perez) stemmed from and whether they were based on a misunderstanding of campaign finances.

O'Rourke's director of communications Chris Evans told the Independent (UK): 'Beto's grassroots campaign raised a record-breaking $6,136,763 online from individuals in the first 24 hours after launching. Each and every single dollar of that came online from people, not from PACs, corporations, special interests or in the way described in this completely false tweet.'

Those posts did not suggest that there was anything illegal about the money transfer from Texas Dems to Beto. They did suggest that it meant that Beto might be artificially inflating his day one take, It is still not clear, at least to me, that this is not the case. Were those Senate run dollars included in the $6.1 million figure released by the Beto campaign? If so, how much did he really take in on day one? Attacking Bernie supporters is inappropriate until Beto accurately reports the full details of day one contributions.

Beto is the emptiest candidate in the bunch. His behavior seems like that of an adolescent.

He was awfully quick to announce his day's take given the number.

I think Chris Evans' comment / response in the article above makes it quite clear. Now an important take on this on NBC about the whole field and key considerations.

He did raise $6 million from people. Six OILigarchs. Lol. Just another empty suit like Obama. Or Harris and all the rest. Gabbard is the only possibly serious candidate, remember even Bernie buckled.

Sorry to be so blunt, but you are completely mistaken and I must correct you (or at least suggest you read the above Quicklink, rather than wallow in adolescent smears that are just dead wrong. To perpetuate such errors is not how elections are ever won, except maybe in Huey Long's Louisiana or in Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe.

O'Rourke's director of communications Chris Evans told the Independent (UK): 'Beto's grassroots campaign raised a record-breaking $6,136,763 online from individuals in the first 24 hours after launching. This video below is not entirely relevant but it is worth posting because there is not much any more relevant and primarily because it shows a fierce debate between two entirely different points of view, on Fox News (with which, by the way, I have no connection other than sharing a name carried by 64,000 Americans!)

Perhaps it is enough to you, but the real world is still out there.

In fact there is a lot more to Beto and his candidacy than apparently you can comprehend.

Just positing insults about other candidates is not how you will get yours elected.
