The actions being taken by tech giants to battle fake news are having devastating effects on alternative media and freedom of speech.

Instead of inventing an "app" that could track down the ultimate source of a news item so people could decide themselves if it's trustworthy, Google, Facebook, and now Twitter have marched lockstep with the nefarious U.S. intelligence agencies and supported their censorship. This ignorant and cowardly action is what one expects of the MSM, not supposed information-wants-to-be-free content providers.
