The reasons for her endorsement starts off with voting against the Iraq war, followed by supporting a new Glass Steagall, leading the fight against the XL pipeline, opposing NAFTA/TPP, fighting private prisons and overcriminalization, understanding the vital role that unions and institutions play, long fought against high-stakes standardized tests, a lifelong advocate for veterans, a leader in health clinics and access to dental care and basic services, he has always been practical, with a long career of working across all party lines with respect and most importantly, President Sanders would put fundamental reform--including public financing of elections--at the heart of what he does.
