|I read about five predictions being made by climate scientists in the late nineties. One was that there would be severe local weather changes. Predictions coming true repeatedly are a good sign that a scientific theory is correct. (These were in Orion Nature Quarterly circa 1997; we have seen much evidence of the other predictions as well. We are now well past that predictive stage, and it is the exact mechanisms that are being examined (quite like evolution--no longer a theory, though there are various ideas about specific modus operandi).
