This ultra-strong, ultra-thin supermaterial could yield a technological revolution.

The classic sci-fi action film 'Predator' features an alien assassin that has the ability to see the world in thermal infrared. Now, thanks to graphene, you might also be able to have Predator vision. Researchers from the University of Michigan have developed a graphene contact lens that allows its wearer to sense the whole infrared spectrum — plus visible and ultraviolet light.

Just when you think the world is going down the toilet, something like this pops up in the news to save you! In the same journal carbon plays a part in a strength endurance fiber.

Problem? These are the same people who know the Earth is warming and whose legitimacy is being questioned by our very leaders, to keep large polluting industries from going under. If Science loses its credibility, we're sunk. After jailing babies at the border, this resistance to information is my big beef with the GOP.
