Two weeks out, OEN is pretty much back to full functioning. We're still getting some reports of oddball stuff and I encourage you to let us know if there are any issues you encounter. Please include the URL and the details of the problem, and any error messages you see.
But overall, things are doing well. We have a faster, more powerful, server with a lot more built in redundancy for back up. I heard from one article submitter that the site is working better than ever. That's the good news. But we were hurt badly by the days that the site was down.
1- lost ad revenues-- this was significant.
2- lost content. It takes content to get people to come to the site and keep coming back.
3- lost traffic. People click on a link and get the dreaded site not found message and they leave-- and may not come back.
How you can help:
1-Become a volunteer and help post articles and quicklinks and work in the queue.
2-Submit articles and quicklinks
3-Share OEN content by email, facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc.
4-make a donation or sign up for a donation subscription.
5-Become a premium member or upgrade your membership to a higher level or lifetime membership.

Then, when he found the process of raising people's consciousness and empowering them to take more control of their lives one person at a time was too slow, he founded Opednews.com-- which has been the top search result on Google for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion for several years. Rob began his Bottom-up Radio show, broadcast on WNJC 1360 AM to Metro Philly, also available on iTunes, covering the transition of our culture, business and world from predominantly Top-down (hierarchical, centralized, authoritarian, patriarchal, big) to bottom-up (egalitarian, local, interdependent, grassroots, archetypal feminine and small.) Recent long-term projects include a book, Bottom-up-- The Connection Revolution, debillionairizing the planet (more...)
