What was Dick Cheney's point in saying that Condi Rice cried?

[[IMG10]] Well at least I'm smiling. There was no reason not to - after all it's not everyday that you get to take a picture with the Vice President.

I admit that when I got the photo back I wasn't sure about Vice President Dick Cheney's expression. Was that a hint of a smile or a smirk? And just what was he thinking during our brief encounter?

Several years have gone by since Dick and I posed for that picture, but after I heard that he outted a private conversation with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, I'm back to wondering about that scowl - err - look. I mean telling the world in his new book that Condi Rice came crying to him is just plain tacky. Was he trying to make a sister look bad? I'm just saying. In fact, the only thing I can see he accomplished is attempting to make women look weak.

That's exactly why in my book, Cracking the Double Standard Code, I coach women to avoid crying at work. Oh, well what's done is done, but it's still messed up that Cheney would tell. And I would say that even if Condi wasn't my husband's cousin's cousin (seriously).

Mr. Cheney's look is still a mystery though. I'm thinking maybe he's wondering why as a woman I'm smiling instead of crying. Whatdoyathink?
