In the bushy wood
the covetous hunter
took more than
his share
proudly kicking
ant beds
Mocking the
carrion eater

He did not hear it
when it came
dragging him cold
back into the wood

The others stood
unblinking
calling after
The Hunter
maddened
howling
raging with fist
and breaking
word

stilled the
throng

Holding
