At the heart of Christian thinking is the story of Jesus, and how he sacrificed his life to relieve the sins of mankind. This is a dangerous and futile lesson, as it perpetuates the myth that self sacrifice is at the core of a good human being.
Take a good look at the world around you. Our world as it is today is the result of this belief we hold so dear.
Today I read an article that suggested we needed to change and embrace the notion of self sacrifice, and that a man's desire to provide for himself and those he loves is at the root of our troubles.
Well, self sacrifice is most definitely NOT the advance in consciousness that is needed in man, for it can never really work. We will always seek to support and grow our selves and our families. To intone self sacrifice supports the myth that there is not enough. Well, this is an abundant earth, and there is more than enough.
Our current economic system where central bankers have pretty much taken over governments everywhere through the creation of debt is rooted in the fear of those same bankers that there isn't enough. So they continue to seek for more and more, and of course, it is still never enough, no matter how much they get.
This is spiritual bankruptcy on display and is at the root of what plagues mankind.
As long as man continues to reach for the god outside of him, he will be cut off from the divinity that lives within him.
It is this separation from our own godliness, supported by the judeo-christian idea of the god outside of us that creates this fear.
It is not capitalism that is our problem, nor is it the greed and stupidity of our leaders. They are just humans acting from the fear that there is not enough, and it is a waste of time to blame them for being afraid.
Yes, all central banking systems need to fall, and we are witnessing this now, and yes a new consciousness will be born, but it will not be rooted in self sacrifice, it will be rooted in self love.
When the fear is gone because we have embraced our divine natures, loving others as ourselves will have become a self evident truth.
Every moment of every human life contains the choice between love and fear.
So if you are wondering, What Can I Do? There is a simple answer.
Choose love.
