A New Year is upon us. A new Republican Congress is upon us also. I dreamed last night that Mitch and all the rest fought "The War Against Christmas" and lost. Upon losing they reassessed their priorities, realizing the baby Jesus was not a shiny token getting one into outlet malls and gated communities and private schools and gun clubs and the Special Forces and bad Bill O'Reilly Christmas sweaters. They realized, as Scrooge does in this movie clip, that serving their fellow man and believing in peace on earth was actually what Christmas was all about. Pretty cool dream, huh?
