This quote from the new US VP is worrying. I do hope it is not a harbinger of things to come.

At the July 2016 RNC, Governor Mike Pence said:

"I'm a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order."

That is foolish. You can serve God in your daily life; but in your political life, you are there to serve the citizens and the Constitution, not God. Your way to 'serve God,' if that's what you are aiming for, must surely be to serve ALL your citizens, not just the ones you like or feel comfortable sitting next to or talking with.
