CHARLOTTE, N.C (AP) -- Regulators on Friday shut banks in Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and California, bringing the number of bank failures this year to 120 amid the struggling economy and a cascade of defaults on loans.....Source Yahoo Finance

The good news is that productivity is up which means that corporations are doing more with less workers. Obviously, this makes for bigger profits for Big Business but doesn't do anything for the people, which now are unemployed at a real rate of about 20%. This may all sound negative but someone has to be brave enough to speak out for their fellow countrymen.

But then the people are never a consideration to corporate America and the government they own.

So as the government throws trillions into the hands of the few financial elite, the people of America worry that health care for all is socialist. Americans don't want anyone but the very wealthiest to benefit from the wealth of the country.

This is stupid but it is America. The Buddha was completely correct in that we suffer by our own ignorance and selfishness.
