The best Democratic presidential candidates are Bill Richardson and Al Gore.
All I hear from Barack Obama is a laundry list of platitudes about the war and hope. He tries to appeal to everybody but my feeling is that he supports nothing.
Hillary Clinton are John Edwards are a disgrace to the Democratic party for calling other candidates "not serious". With the Iowa Caucus six months away, Clinton and Edwards should have no right or voice in attempting to silence other candidates. At the same point in time before the 2004 election John Edwards was only at about 5-6% in the national polls. If he is making his rationalization of calling others not-serious based on polling numbers alone, he would be calling himself the same thing 4 years ago. If it is not the polling numbers then it would be the ideas of the other candidates. How dare Edwards and Clinton be intolerant of other ideas from within the Democratic party.
I like Dennis Kucinich but he is far too liberal to be elected in a general election. He is the most passionate about the war, health care, and the environment of all the announced candidates but I think Bill Richardson makes a strong second. As a governor, he has made clean energy, public transportation, and education a priority. He has been extremely successful in everything that he has done and there is no doubt that he would make a great president. He made New Mexico the "Clean Energy State" and has turned around New Mexico's economy.
Al Gore has not announced but I hope he does. Gore could easily beat Clinton for the nomination. The environment is an extremely important issue for me. Al Gore cares about global warming. If you read about the consequences of global warming, I think you will realize the grave necessity for mankind to act fast.
One important thing I believe people should do is get hybrid vehicles. His son was caught speeding in a Toyota Prius. I understand that it is not good for a politician to have a son be in trouble with the law. But at least his son's car falls in line with his political views. Bill Richardson and Al Gore are the strongest candidates the Democratic party has.
