It really makes no difference which side won the farcical competition -- adversarial pretense notwithstanding -- since both of their champions are indentured to the same array of greed interests. Either way the corporatists won. Either way decent governance remains entombed.
.
What is significant, however, is that the citizens have now been conned into the scheme of endorsing the managed appointment of the Most Powerful Person on the Planet for 2013 through 2016, most powerful that is with, of course, exception of his corporate Masters.
.
Again, regardless of the choice, you can expect these following -- among other -- major greed-driven prerogatives to obtain as directed by these Masters:
.
....The profit and treasure driven wars, indiscriminate drone slaughter, presidentially directed assassinations and other such historical disgraces will maintain. (If not to be so, one must ask: Why over the past eleven years did neither the Republican Bush nor the Democrat Obama stop such blatant atrocities, other than for being "not allowed to" by the same interests?)
.
....Medical care for Americans (now ranked 36 th "best" in the family of nations despite costing our citizens twice the expense as in nation ranked #1 and most others) will not improve and may in fact degrade. The same will be true of our Public Education (now ranked about the same).
.
....The Constitution ripped up by the Bush regime and re-shredded by Obama will remain as confetti upon the carpets of the corridors of power across the next quadrenium, with the very same Masters treading them. Nothing succeeds like success, and the course of this abuse of rewarding-the-rich-at-the-expense-of-the-poor has morphed ever more bountifully since 1980 for both the Masters and for their indentured governmentals.
.
There you have it American voters -- either complicit or witless -- simply "your bad," as the kids might appropriately put it. High time you grasped some reality, called upon some intelligence and mustered some priority for decency in your choice of candidates rather than to persist in zombie partisanship and to fall for jingoism like "Hope and Change," "Lesser-Evil," "Freedom's on the March," and other such mindless exploitive drivel.
.
I was raised a Christian choirboy, and I keep a yarmulke in my top drawer in readiness to attend the celebrations of my Jewish friends. But I am now at a loss to comprehend how anyone of these persuasions could in any way support -- including voting -- either of the major-party candidates and their party's abominable record of the past twelve years, both characterized by economic exploitation benefiting the unprincipled wealthy at the expense of everyone else, and the unconscionable massive slaughter two seas from our coasts, which has aroused the animus of the decent societies of the world and which will poison America's future history.
.
We did share respect for the same Divinity. And we once shared the same Sixth Commandment. Our society -- with precious miniscule exceptions -- has now grievously violated both. Any Divinity that stands for decency, justice, truth and life cannot smile upon the 2013-16 choice, no matter how unconsciously or imbecilicly driven.
.
We can but hope He spares America's survival from the consequences otherwise abundantly justified by that wretched choice.
