China, Can I Have Some More Money?

Secretary of State Hilary Clinton went to China to ask for more money to fund the US government. Why can't Americans fund their own economy?

Clinton just wrapped her visit with China by asking the Chinese to continue buying our treasury bonds, so that the stimulus bill would actually have money behind it. First I have a couple of questions. How could our Congress pass a bill allocating funds that they did not have to begin with? The next question I have is does our government still expect Americans to have no job, have no equity in our homes and yet still buy Chinese goods? What about Americans? Are we supposed to take more loans that we can’t repay to buy more Chinese goods?

One has to wonder what our government is thinking when they allocate funds that they simply do not have. They already passed the bill, did all the arguing, and some Republicans did a whole lot of grandstanding, and guess what? There’s no money anyway. What a bunch of fools! They expect, no demand, that China even though its own economy is sliding to continue investing in a country that is quite obviously completely broke. American banks are in such a state of decline that it will probably take nationalization to unravel the mess. Our great geniuses of finance destroyed the whole banking economy. Great job!

Now why is it that we have no funds when we have quite a number of billionaires in this country? Well, Ronnie Reagan did not want to tax the wealthy. People don’t like paying taxes, but they sure like free money when it comes their way. Wealthy like having wars over resources, but they don’t want to pay for them. We love sending our unused massive army out to force some other country into the global banking system, but those same individuals do not pay their share of the taxes. Instead, we fully expect Japan and China to pay our taxes for us.

Our wealthy not only refuse to pay their share of the taxes, but they do not want to give up the overloaded defense budget either. They like their toys, so they can from time to time foist their ideas, global banking system, or Pepsi/ Wal-Mart on some other unsuspecting country. They occasionally like to swipe resources from others or force some ideology down someone’s throat. Our country is obviously broke. We could give up the war toys, but alas we would rather beg from China than give up our toys and our empire that strangles the world.

In order to cut the budget, rather than cut the defense budget, they would rather let the vast majority of people go without healthcare or simply starve. We either cut that defense budget or load all the starving people into the Army. Then what will we do? Someone has to pay taxes to support that batch of nonsense. Either that or we could invade everyone around us and take everything they have like Hitler did.

Americans are expected to continue buying things they can’t afford. We are expected to continue buying things even though we have no jobs. The American worker is one of the most embattled in the world. Our lovely wealthy enjoys hiring foreign people to do the brainwork for less. These folks usually come from China or India. They like hiring foreigners to cut up meat, construct buildings, or farm their oversized agribusinesses. These folks are paid under the table. These are the illegal immigrants. Will the stimulus actually use American construction workers, or are Americans expected to starve while illegal immigrants construct the buildings and the contracts for steel go to Chinese companies. Now even the military wants to hire immigrants to fight useless wars. Will these people have loyalty to the US in a tight spot or does that matter anymore?

If I were China I would see the US for what it is, a sinking ship. I would seek to open other more reliable markets. I would do the same if I were Japan. What is the US going to do? Attack China? Attack Japan? We would run out of oil before we got there. Time to start facing the music and pay our own way even if we have to give up some toys. It’s time to get jobs to Americans even if we have to reinvent our manufacturing base or break up agribusinesses and reinstate the small family farm. Some of our people may need to go back to farming on whatever land they can plant vegetables on. Our small businesses and manufacturers will need help getting started. This means that some of those Chinese goods need to be sent back. In order to begin helping our budding manufacturing base, we will have to pay our own bills. We cannot ask China for money and then erect tariffs to help our own flailing businesses. The manufacturing needs to be done here in the US—not outsourced. The outsourcing needs to stop. Those entities that went overseas to manufacture need to be considered foreign entities. The American worker and the American small farmer need help now more than ever. If these people are expected to keep buying, they need money to do so.

I enjoy writing about political/ economic events, and I am especially concerned about the US as a warlike nation. I would like to see this nation turn itself around from a conquering nation in both commerce and war to a nation of peace. I hope that (more...)
