Quotes of the day: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

Research topic: The Crusades

A few days ago Tucker Carlson tucked his "Book Of Common Prayer" in Hannity's gun safe, casually ambled onto the Fox News set and declared, "I think personally he should have been executed (Michael Vick)..." He was obviously really upset about the current Progressive President, not to be confused with that other Progressive President, for living out his faith and thanking the Philadelphia Eagles for Giving Michael Vick a second chance. In Tucker's defense, he did indemnify himself with the well used "Fox News Caveat" - "I'm a Christian but..." Do they have a chapel in the building over there? There have been quite a few Fox folks advocating for murder lately. I'm thinking that they must go to the chapel, drop off whatever spiritual baggage they're carrying, fortify their "junk", kiss the Rupert Icon and head on to the stage - bound for righteous mayhem. Is murder an Australian thing?

Tucker is just the latest of the would-be assassins over at News Corp. Bill O'Reilly probably contributed to the murder of Dr. George Tiller, an abortion provider, by aggressively and relentlessly attacking him and labeling him, "George Tiller, The Baby Killer" on Fox News and radio. The Fox News resident pastor (I wonder if he's there in the chapel to bless and send the others on their way?), Mike Huckabee, wants Julian Assange killed, as does Bob Beckel - now there's an enigma - Beckel was the campaign manager for Walter Mondale, in college he worked for Robert F. Kennedy's Presidential campaign and he was the youngest Deputy Secretary of State for the Carter administration - what in the hell are they doing behind closed doors over there?

Yet, the most direct advocate of slaughter at Fox is a woman - the Fox news Joan of Arc, Lizzie Borden or Aileen Wuornos - Liz Trotta, former New York bureau chief of the "The Washington Times", and, evidently a Conservative pugilist. Liz casually opined, on Fox News, during the recent Presidential election, "...Osama, uh, um, Obama, well, both, if we could." This nice Conservative lady was talking about assassination. It's hard to believe that this is what we get after the Conservative onslaught and indoctrination of the gullible by the, apparently, nice man we had as President that acted so marvelously with a monkey.

I don't recall Jesus equivocating or back peddling, but if he was a Fox Jesus it would probably go like this: "Ok, ok, I am the Messiah, however, for the next fifteen minutes I'm gonna act like Saddam Hussein, because I'm really pissed off that that Black Progressive President put in a good word for my forgiveness thing in reference to that other Black guy that killed dogs and you know how all of us white folks love our dogs."*

Where I think this is all heading, in Congress, in the New Year is, "The Christian Caveat Bill"- whereby Republicans and Conservatives can assassinate, with impunity, transgressors, if they all think so, and say, before they pull the trigger, "I'm a Christian, but..."

This would probably lead to the deaths of: Michael Vick, a few strippers, some artists, Michael Moore, quite a few writers, those mosque people, a token Haitian Voodoo practitioner, Elton John, the spawn of that French guy that invented French Fries, Julian Assange, Al Gore and all the rest of those Climate Queers, the Black people that claim to be Thomas Jefferson's descendents, Bruce Springsteen and Arlo - there's no telling what those Guthrie's are up to, all of Woodrow Wilson's family that are still living, that old, seditious banjo player, Daniel Ellsberg (they missed him the first time) and Hari Sreenivasan - the guy with the funny NPR name.

These Conservative folks want government out of the lives of the Poor, the Infirm, the Injured and Children but, boy, give "em the chance to have the government meddle in women's lives or something that has to do with flags or genitalia and they're all over it. Gird your loins compadres - here they come.

We are a pathetic shadow of the promise of this country if we allow this mess to continue - FOX NO.

*I am an animal lover - I have four dogs, two cats, two birds and two horses and I think what Michael Vick did was truly reprehensible. However, I also understand the power of forgiveness.
