"Truth is stranger than fiction," said Mark Twain. Unlike fiction, truth does not serve power, but freedom and peace.

Madmen in power always need a fictitious "evil" enemy to keep the game of war going, and keep the money flowing. Government is only able to grow and become more powerful by scaring the people about an outside enemy that is almost always manufactured and hyped by the government itself. The American playwright Arthur Miller said that "Power is going to defend you against the enemy. If you don't believe in the enemy then you don't believe in the power."

Governments throughout history have waged war in the name of defending the people and protecting their liberties. Hitler's government did it. The Roman empire did it. All empires do it. When people say America is the last remaining superpower in the world as if that is a good thing they should be reminded that all empires are evil empires and all superpowers are by nature super evil. Power and evil always go together. Liberty is extinguished under all empires. There is no such thing as a humanitarian empire, or a benevolent superpower. The American empire is not an exception. In fact, Washington is the perfect historical illustration that power always attracts the corrupt, the sinister, the scoundrels, the sick, and, most of all, the evil.

For a long while Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda filled the role of the evil enemy in the war on terror. Bin Laden served a psychological purpose, and allowed the Bush administration, as well as governments around the world, to increase government power and introduce police-state legislation to "protect" the people against "terrorism" that previously would not have been accepted by the majority of the public.

Bin Laden was the devil personified even though he was not behind the September 11 attacks. His legend was deliberately created by the state terrorists and myth makers in the Bush administration, the CIA, the Pentagon, and Israel, who were behind 9/11, to justify a policy of aggression against innocent countries, and a policy of repression against the people in America and the West.

On May 1, 2011 the Osama Bin Laden legend officially died. But although he exited the drama of history on May 1, his real exit from this world came long before that date. The question of when Bin Laden died is not a settled issue. Numerous government officials and world leaders have went on record in the past ten years and said that Bin Laden was dead. Paul Joseph Watson complied a great list of quotes by different leaders and officials from Pakistan, America, and Afghanistan who say more or less that the question of Bin Laden's death is a dead issue. Watson writes:

In a way, the establishment had their hand forced in having to announce the death of someone whose shadowy existence had proven very useful to them in maintaining fear and uncertainty amongst the population of America and the world.

The fact that the myth behind Al-Qaeda has been completely demolished and that the group, through a myriad of revelations, including Anwar Al-Alawki's post-9/11 visit to the Pentagon, is now widely known to be a US intelligence front, perhaps now means that Al-Qaeda will be swept under the rug and a new enemy will be invented in order to legitimize the continued US military-complex domination of the globe.

It is still hard to figure out the political motivations behind the official announcement of Osama Bin Laden's death by President Obama. I think it was a major PR offensive and a politically tactical move that was designed to achieve several political and foreign policy objectives: 1) boost Obama's poll numbers, 2) shift the media coverage away from Obama's shoddy birth certificate and the real story of his rise to power, 3) defend and justify torture as well as Guantanamo Bay in the eyes of the American people, 4) bring closure to the Osama Bin Laden legend that was created by the Bush administration in order to make way for another stage in the war on terror which requires a different kind of enemy, and 5) blacken the name of Pakistan and set the stage for a future confrontation.

As Paul Craig Roberts writes, "The agendas behind the theater will reveal themselves as time goes on. All you have to do is to pay attention and to realize that most of what you hear from the mainstream media is designed to advance the agendas."

It is so moronic that so many people are demonizing those who question the official story about how Bin Laden died as crazy and nutty conspiracy theorists despite the massive amount of evidence that the U.S. government continually lies to the American people about the real nature of its domestic and foreign policies. Lying is the modus operandi for the CIA, the Pentagon, the White House, and the larger U.S. political-media establishment. The facts bear this out. Ten years of lies only guarantees another ten years of lies if we don't expose the original lies about 9/11, Bin Laden, the fake threat of Al-Qaeda, and the raison d'ĂȘtre for the war on terror.

The fight for truth and the restoration of freedom is a constant struggle. But we should not be hopeless. In the last few days, an upstanding individual named Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik, a former government insider who was a go-to expert in counter-terrorism operations, regime change, national security, and psychological warfare has been on the Alex Jones show to inform the American people that Osama Bin Laden died more than nine years ago, but his legend was kept alive to prolong the war on terror. Pieczenik also said that a senior military general who was serving under Wolfowitz told him that 9/11 was an inside job, and that he will reveal his name in front of an American jury once Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, & the whole gang are charged for their crimes.

The establishment can't brush off Pieczenik as a conspiracy theorist and a lunatic like others because his record in government is impeccable and his patriotic service to America is so legendary that the famous Tom Clancy character "Jack Ryan" is based on his life. Harrison Ford played Jack Ryan in the 1992 film "Patriot Games."

Pieczenik's example is a reminder to all of us that there are many honorable and patriotic people who serve in the United States government. Ninety percent of the people who work in the CIA and Pentagon are honorable and good people. But there is a core group of devils, backstabbers, liars, and traitors who don't care about the American people, and the security and freedom of America and the world. They are the enemies of the public order. The more we tolerate their poisonous and treasonous actions the worse off all of us will be in the long run.

I view people like Wolfowitz, Perle, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and other neocons as the black magicians and wizards of terror. They resemble the dark sorcerers in films like Lord of the Rings and other mythic productions from Hollywood who poison the King with false words and tell his Kingdom a bunch of lies in order to weaken it and corrupt it, and ultimately enslave it. Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney as Grima Wormtongue is a truer representation of their spirit than to call them heroes and protectors. Real defenders tell the people the truth and do not send young men and women to war unless it is an absolute necessity.

America hasn't had a real defender and a real leader in the White House since President John F. Kennedy. President Obama is a continuation of usurping leaders and false defenders who do not care about the public good.

As America was burning behind him on May 1, 2011, President Obama stepped before the television camera to promote hidden agendas and trick the American people once again. Men like Obama and Bush deserve to be hanged, not worshiped and followed.

"Those in possession of absolute power," wrote American writer Eric Hoffer, "can not only prophesy and make their prophecies come true, but they can also lie and make their lies come true." The men who possess absolute power in Washington do not need to tell the truth to the American people and the world because their fiction has served them so well. Why tell the truth when you can lie and get away with it? It is stupid to hold the current leaders of America to a different moral standard than Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Stalin, and other tyrants who aspired for absolute power.

The drive for power and for domination makes men crazy and irrational and destructive. And it has made the men in Washington crazy. We are all at their mercy. That is what is really frightening. That is the terror that keeps me up at night and makes me afraid for the future of mankind. As William S. Burroughs said, "We must all face the fact that our leaders are certifiably insane or worse."
