ENOUGH , NO MORE !

Are you shocked ?

You should be because this is the current state

of our so called ' war on terror ' .

 

Beheadings, torture, humiliation, rape ~ you

name it and we have set the standard with

our illegal power grab of Iraq and flagrant disregard

of the Geneva conventions.

 

Who are we ?

What have we become ?

What happened ?

 

Good questions for Americans who must decide

this November on the future direction of this

country.

 

Who are we ?

 

We are the enemy detested by the vast majority

of the world who have watched in shock and

disbelief as we imposed our will on the United Nations

and willfully mislead the world in the process of our  

brazen occupation of Iraq.

 

What have we become ?

 

We have become wanton outlaws riding under the banner

of a neo-conservative pipe dream oblivious of

the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

 

What happened ?

 

We gave away our power because of fear and in so

doing ~ we severed our delicate Congressional and

Executive balance of power .

And yes , the mass-media has more than played its part

in the resultant executive branch shameless abuse of power .

 

George Orwell describes it well in 1984 ~ "The process [of mass-media deception] has to be conscious, or it would not be carried out with sufficient precision, but it also has to be unconscious, or it would bring with it a feeling of falsity and hence of guilt.... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary."

 

In short , we have been had and our silent voices have

set the stage for this humiliating abduction .

 

Without the Internet the sordid truth would still be whispered

and largely ignored ~ but with the Internet the truth has become obvious  ~ we have found our voice and joined the voices of our brothers and sisters throughout the world ~ who demand truth not lies, cooperation not separation and peace not war.

 

Just like the people of Spain ~ we have the power to stop the four Horseman of Hubris ( Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz ) in their tracks and reclaim our country and our

integrity in the process.

 

Are you shocked ?

 

You should be because that severed head is what

mans inhumanity to man has finally become.

 

It's time to universally exclaim ~ enough , no more !
