Defective Facts, Defective Decisions, Defective President
by Angie Pratt
The fact of the matter is that
had George Bush been honest with the American people we would
not have gone to war in Iraq. If George Bush had leveled
with the American people and had given a clear, unbiased picture
of the situation in Iraq we would not have sent the first
trooper in. In point of fact, if George Bush had made
good, sound judgements the 1000 plus American service men and
women who have been killed in Iraq would be alive today.
And … frankly, there are
better ways to have liberated Iraq. Shall we ask the 10's
of thousands of Iraqis who are now dead? Let's poll them
for their opinion.
We can not, under any circumstance,
have a president whose leadership is so flawed that he
constantly makes WRONG decisions. We depend on the
president being right. We are the greatest country in the
world and have huge global responsibilities as a result.
We simply can not have such a seriously defective president.
We have to have someone who can look
at all the facts and make decisions that are RIGHT. And by
right, I mean both factually and morally. Ideology and
politics have no place in decisions that literally are life and
death.
Repeat after me …
There were no weapons of mass destruction.
There was no link between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda
The UN sanctions were working.
Iraq did not attack the United States
And … while we are at it, George
Bush's plan for peace in Iraq was woefully inadequate. He
was told that we needed more troops in Iraq and he decided not
to follow that advice. He was told we needed the support
of the UN and the world and he decided to essentially go it
alone.
Honestly. Can some one point
out any decision that George Bush has made with respect to Iraq
that was 100%, start to finish, correct?
George Bush has shown himself to be
inept. The United States and the world, for that matter, require
better. There is simply too much at stake.
