IN essence, you want to know why the 1/10th of 1% who own more wealth than most nations, do not look to finance our public schools like clear-headed me?

Ignorant people and stressed citizens who have lost their jobs and homes, will not question the 'monied' guys. Too busy trying to pay the rent and put food on the table.

And as for Obama, not coming to 'little old me', or to the brilliant Diane Ravitch, or Linda Darling Hammond or so many of the genuine voices of professional educators? His administration enabled the fraud Duncan to spin the truth and sell the NCLB travesty as 'reform' ; it is unlikely that he would come to hear the voice of a real teacher.
