High schools & college requests to disclose student behavior
By Margaret Bassett
Admission questions to HS counselors re student disciplinary actions is iffy. With more college crime--think VA Tech--the practice is commoner. From HS perspective of helping their students, not answering may lead to turndown, OR answering may label those admitted. Not discussed in this article is why a "juvenile" can take a CD from WalMart without publicity but would have a permanent blot on their bio after college.
