Announcing the resignation in a statement on Monday, Obama hailed Solis as "a tireless champion for working families" during "the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression." Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki and Attorney General Eric Holder will remain with the administration in their current posts.
