NYC School Traumatizes Staff, Special Needs Kids with Mock Shooting after Newtown

By Meryl Ann Butler

The NYC Public School 079M/Horan administration faked a school shooting, terrorizing nearly 400 disabled students and staff, who are now suffering from PTSD, according to whistlebloer Horanwatch.org. Horanwatch notes that after NY Times and NY Magazine coverage of the event, and concern from the AFT president, that a petition has emerged. It calls on the NYC Mayor's office to insist that his Dept of Ed. send immediate help to students who are suffering from targeted trauma modeled after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, and to ensure this school administration cannot punish staff for exposing this cruel and unusual assault. Scores of personal accounts allege that administrators including Principal Greer Phillips, Vice Principals Mildred Rodriguez Ortiz and Jason Sand, as well as school dean Severini remain indignant and hostile.
