The Dreams of Yearning: A Poem
By Burl Hall
This poetry reflects my meditation throughout this lifetime. This poetry reflects a tool of meditation in which I enter into the timeless Now of Genesis 1:2, which is reflected throughout spiritual writings in the world and corresponds to the Unmanifest Implicate Order which serves as the ground of all creation according to some physicists.
::::::::
Fully screaming Her erotic explosions conceived by Desire's Depths,
The screaming Eros, born of Serenity's stillness,
She entices Creation to sing in time to His twirling flirtatious tongue
Embattered by Desire's need to be heard
The Depths of No Thing cries aloud! "Some Thing, Any Thing!"
Thus Desire's Word generates ceaseless tidal waves
Sailing cyclically nude to
sparkle forth their dangerous beauty
into the cosmic eye of Mother Wisdom
These waves of universal conception
Swoosh to and fro before the Light of day...
The Light thus blinds and binds us to a never ending story
conditioned by thousands of years of repertoire
Blinding us from the dark infinity of our sight!
Infinite Infant
How close the sound...
Limited thought inseminates fear of death
In succumbing to these empowered depths
Thus, the waves increase
leaving us more blind
to the clarity of eternal life
where individual lives cease....
and dissolve...
into undifferentiated life.
Can one fathom this bottomless topless essence,
this profound stillness
of the Ocean on a stormy night?
Calming the storm, we loose ourselves in erotic ecstasy
swallowed by Wisdom's cosmic vagina
We die within each moment only to be reborn
Light manifests Dark and Dark manifests Light
This flickering of the cosmic movie..."In and Out, Off and On"
The dance of Some Thing and No Thing twirl as one
in this screaming soundless moment of sonic stillness
But, with blind eye we only see the picture
while denying our need for Nothing's seed
Thus, the flower denies the dark ground in which she is anchored
while opening her arms to drink the intoxicating rays of the Sun.
