John McCain knows something that Obama doesn't. He knows that the majority of voters are of the Limbaugh proletariat and if he can lie his way into making them believe that he shares their shallowness, he'll get the majority of the vote. Stands to reason. He's presenting himself and Palin like parking lot puddles, small and shallow, just what Limbaugh voters can identify with.

Let's face it. Lying works. Works beautifully. It gets you elected President of the United States. George Bush, the ultimate son of privilege and wealth, figured out what McCain has figured out, that the vast majority of the people who go to vote are of the Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly proletariat, the opposite of what he and McCain are.

Bush lied about who he is and who his opponents were by presenting himself as being the same as the majority who vote, by being the anti-intellectual, pick-up driving good ole boy wearing his baseball cap, just like them. It got him elected twice.

The people who McCain's lies are aimed at, the people who share the same prejudices, biases and deep rooted religious beliefs as Sarah Palin, are the people who can identify with Palin. When Palin or McCain say that Obama is a Muslim, that he's not a Murican, that he's going to tax you out of existence, they believe it. After all, they think, McCain and Palin have the same prejudices, biases and deep rooted religious beliefs as we do. We gotta believe them, they're just like us.

McCain's success in bringing himself to be considered a viable candidate for president in opposition to Obama says more about the people who will vote for him than about himself. McCain and Palin know very well that they're lying about Obama. They know that the people they're lying to are predisposed to believe them. That's why McCain's Straight Lying Express has brought him within striking distance of Obama. They know that the majority of people who are going to vote feel left out, hopeless and helpless, and don't care in the least about foreign policy, the national debt, the deficit, the war in Iraq, or whether rich people are losing their mansions by foreclosure. Not their problem.

McCain and Palin know that they can forget about any issues of substance and just concentrate on lying about Obama, and when the Limbaugh proletariat go to the polls, that's all they're going to remember about Obama, the lies that were told about him. That was what was mostly on the TV, so it must be true. Bill O'Reilly said so.

So, if we're so much smarter than the Republicans, and we know that the Republicans are the last thing and the worst thing we want running the country, how come we can't win elections? The answer is that our candidates tell the truth. Lies are much more exciting, salacious, attention grabbing, and always more believable to the Limbaugh proletariat than the dull, ordinary, heard it all before, truth.

The McCain lying campaign is working. We see the results in the polls every day. He's pulling ahead because of it. Are we too good to stoop to the level needed to win an election? Are we going to say that we're above all that and because we're above all that, we're going to allow McCain to get away with it and become president? Are we going to allow the continuation of Bush's disastrous policies that will result in the political, economic, industrial and constitutional downfall of the US?

Is lying about McCain and Palin worth it? Is that what we should do to prevent disaster? It does look like that if we do the same to McCain and Palin as they're doing to us, we'll have as good a chance to win as they do. It works for them, and it will work for us. It has to be done in such a way that they are obvious lies, not to be taken seriously. The beauty of that is that they'll be believed, anyway, just as McCain's outrageous lies are. The more outrageous, the better.

News Flash: Sarah Palin has asked John McCain to drop out of the campaign. Her reasoning is that if she's good enough to be second in line for the presidency, she's good enough to be president. Her vast executive and foreign policy experience will allow her to dispense with the need for a vice president.

News Flash: John McCain has announced that he's adding Paris Hilton and Britney Spears to his nomination of Sarah Palin as vice president. After the phenomenal success of his nomination of Sarah Palin, Hilton and Spears will add their considerable talents to the campaign and are to occupy the office of vice president simultaneously, which is being moved right next door to the Oval Office.

These are obvious lies, and no thinking person would take them seriously or consider them as being the truth. But, we're not dealing with thinking people, we're dealing with those who listen to Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter. The people who listen to them want to believe this kind of crap, the exact same kind of crap put out by the Republicans. We can put out just as good, unbelievable crap. They'll believe it, and they'll never hear when we say, Aw, shucks, we're just foolin'.
