Free Speech ReThuglicans
By Kathryn Smith
If the art of "getting through" to the sleeping masses is not by facts but instead it's by wordsmithing, then here is a suggestion:

Let's call a spade a spade.
For the police to arrest AP news reporters, Amy Goodman and their producers, is to crack down on free speech. Not on journalists, not on protestors, not on rioting. It is, sum total, a violent way to oppress and control free speech itself.
Symbolicly, Amy Goodman's badge was torn off her as she told the police that she is an accredited journalist. Can the defiance of free press be any more clear?
Those who object to the objections to the arrest, based on the fact that there was some rioting and glass-breaking going on, I say let the journalists report that too. What's wrong with reporting such facts?
Ahhhh, here is the rub. What's wrong with it is that Bush and Cheney don't want anybody to know that anybody is against them. That's it.
The ACLU has written that since 911, and thanks to flexible "free speech zones" in the Patriot Act, pro-Bush protestors are allowed within camera range while anti-Bush protestors are corralled to pens and areas far away from the media. I posted this link before, but for anyone who wants to read it again, here it is: http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/16960prs20031123.html

Let's write about this everywhere. Free Speech ReTHUGlicans.
Because, that's just what they are. Tear them down! Get rid of the problem! Embroil them in scandal! THEY are the ones who deserve it, and THEY are the ones who deserve to be jailed as terrorists!
