It Takes A Shit-load Of Compassion

By James Bush

About what it takes.

::::::::

It takes a shit-load of compassion To stand this reeking world It takes a shit-load of compassion To stand this freaking human race It takes a shit-load of compassion To face this teaming rat-race It takes a shit-load of compassion To deal with the mess we've made It takes a shit-load of compassion To deal with the games we've played It takes a shit-load of compassion To forgive -- The fighting and the killing The lying and denying The ignorance and the cruelty The pettiness and the vanity The selfishness and the greed The seediness and deceit It takes a shit-load of compassion To walk down this god-damned street It takes a shit-load of compassion To stand this freaking, reeking world It takes a shit-load of compassion To look this bloody mess in the face It takes a shit-load of compassion To look myself in the god-awfull face It takes a shit-load of compassion
