Thanks so much for helping make Opednews google's #1 search result for the terms liberal news & progressive opinion
By Rob Kall
I know we do great work, that we're making a difference. I hear it from readers and writers every day. The thing is, Opednews is not great at raising money. Fortunately, we're really good at doing what we do on a tiny budget. Still, we need help-- your help.
We're just $600 short of making our monthly budget.

Thanks so much for helping make Opednews google's number one search result for the terms liberal news and progressive opinion.
There's a reason why Google searches for "liberal news," or "progressive opinion," show Opednews as the top result. Why, because Opednews is THE go-to place for liberal news and progressive opinion. You can't buy these rankings. They are earned by what a website does and how the world responds.
The image above is a screen grab I just took today.
Here's another one for progressive opinion
Out of tens or hundreds of millions of results. Opednews comes up FIRST. That's because there are thousands of sites that link in to our quality content, the main thing Google bases its search results on.
Today, two kind emails came in. One, from Judy, whose husband is a political prisoner. She writes,
" Thank you, Rob. You make a difference in ways that help the helpless."
And, out of the blue, another email came in, from Jim:
" OPEdNews is really important to me. I spend most of my time in South Africa and having access to these news items and your comments often makes my day (or week). Thanks for all you do."

We're just $600 short of making our monthly budget. Please help us start the new year in the black for December. And please consider that December is THE month that nonprofits bring in the most-- extra beyond the bare minimum to provide a buffer for leaner months.
