Encouraging debate on current vs past perspectives on cultism by fundamentalists

In world war two the entire christian establishment turned a blind eye and tacitly approved of hitlers final solution in the name of mammon, expediency and tradition. Today is the first time ever that the american presidential republican ticket has no christian on it yet the usually boisterous, exuberant, and inexhaustible fundamentalist evangelical voice is totally silent. I've spent my whole life listening to fundamentalists rave against mormons and catholics as anti christian cults bent on the infiltration and destruction of the true christian church and now that we have one of each competing (i pray in an increasingly apparent losing effort thank god) for the white house no one says anything.
Why is this? is it now suddenly untrue that the bible says the anti christ will be probably be or at least be inseparable from the catholic church in the beginning days of his reign as i've been told for 40 years? No evangelical will stand up and say out loud that mormonism or catholics are even christians yet they actively campaign against someone they readily admit is a christian. Why? The bible also says that the christian establishment will help sweep the anti christ into power and aid in his persecution of the true christians of the time. Wow thats pretty scary.
Why? Money? Greed? Racism? Tribalism? I dont know. Im not even saying i agree or disagree, thats up for each individual and each individuals personal doctrine and conscience to decide, i just want to know what the difference is. I'm not a R or D. Im an I in every sense of the word. I like to make up my own mind rather than be just another sheeple mutely and blindly being led to the intellectual slaughter. Reagan and Clinton are 2 of my favorite top 4 presidents and I voted for both. I say this lest some on either side believe me to be a shill for the other.
I'm not here for any reason other than needing an honest debate and that my faith requires that I search for the truth in all things. This includes the church; church leaders, even the very word of god itself. I'm here because either the last 30 years of informed and extensive polemic against cultism by the evangelical right wing fundamentalists is correct or it is not. Which is it? If the latter, I would like an apology from their own lips and a refund from every tent revival and collection plate deposit I ever made while said doctrines were being dispersed from the pulpit.
If the former, why instead of railing against the possible cultist coup are we encouraged to vote for them instead? I give permission for anyone who wishes to recopy and redistribute this letter for any cause they wish as long as it is copied 100% intact without edit and credit is given to the site of origination. I believe in truth, honesty, character, courage, loyalty and compassion in no definitive order and believe every American leader should possess them in abundance. I believe each of us are responsible for holding our leaders accountable regardless of party. I believe God loves everyone even those like me who have fallen short of the mark. I believe that to keep silent while evil is conceived, plotted, or perpetrated is the same as commiting the same evil.
