July 11, 2012 Next Step for Post-Revolution Egypt; Trash the Top Court Judges By Rob Kall Egyptian president Morsi took a bold move, ordering the parliament back in session. It's a good first step. Now, he must throw out the mubarak appointed judges of the top court. And the American media ought to stop siding with Islamophobia over democracy. :::::::: Egypt's new President Mohammed Morsi, in one of his first acts, ordered the parliament back in session. Then, the top court shut down the parliament, within a day. The MSM reports that the Mubarak appointed military backed up the court. It failed to report that the court was also appointed by Mubarak. The revolution that threw out Mubarak and the old legislature should also throw out the court judges appointed by Mubarak AND the army generals. Mohammed Morsi image is a screen capture from a Voice of America video on youtube Morsi took a bold move, re-opening congress, challenging the court's earlier closing of it. Now that the court has attempted to slap him down, Morsi should draw on the support of the revolution and not only defy the court and the military, but call for removing all of the Mubarak appointed judges and Generals. But we don't hear about that from the MSM. We hear about how Morsi is an Islamist and how a majority of the newly elected members of congress are Islamists. It seems to me like the MSM and the congress are more interested in Islamophobia than in true democracy.
