O'Brien recommends that anyone planning to attend read the Ruckus Society's Security Culture for Activists (PDF), which she would would like to rename, "Security Culture for Citizens" because many of us who are participating in September 17 events do not consider ourselves 'activists'.
"What is shocking to our corrupt government," says O'Brien, "is that US Day of Rage is a non partisan group of non-violent citizen nobodies who believe in the radical idea that Americans have a right to freedom of speech, the right to peaceable assembly, the right to natural self-interest," no matter where they are on the political spectrum.
Can't get to a Day of Rage event? That's okay. Take other action right now. Click the Newspaper icon at the top of this article and send a message of support to your representative. Or, sign one of these petitions and email them to your friends. Take an hour and take some actions.
