what's left of hemmingway?

i think of rugged individualism as a natural thing not to be hidden nor proud

a love of open decent violence and aggressiveness, but not unconstructive in the end

not killing other humans-of course, but having a moral character tough enough to withstand the wind blowing

not unwilling to be wrong about thinking anything

and standing up for it...being a hu-man

as a weed might find a way to grow through the cracked sidewalk

expressing a thought through word and deed

the cost of fighting for thoughts to be expressed achieving a level not worth the paying

a weed more wicked than the wheat

hybrid complacency instead of a rugged thorn of hu-man.
