Life Muzik is a children's program that is unfailingly committed to aiding in the success of tomorrow's leaders by equipping them with life skills through comprehensive and interactive information and activities. The objective is to show the value of education in life, the arts and the work field. In this way, children learn the practical application of education and the need to diligently pursue it.
The beginning of this company's journey starts out as an interestingly pleasant contrast to the noble introduction you just read. Instead, the genesis of this program begins with a little boy who was skillful, played instruments, wrote poems but never saw the benefits of education. This young boy, known to friends and family as Sammy, struggled for years never quite understanding how education would propel him to great levels of success. As time progressed, this young boy became a young man. Though Sammy hadn't yet understood school's contribution to his success, he knew he had to graduate high school in order to complete this portion of his life. So, with clear goals in mind, he doubled up on his classes. He also took a night school coarse and traded his lunch hour for an additional class. That year, a junior, Sammy graduated with the senior class.
What does Sammy have to do with Life Muzik and outfitting children for success? It's simple. The boy once known as Sammy is now Samuel N. Jones, the Life Muzik Program Coordinator. His life experience has transmuted into inspiration used to fuel the program's approach and structure.
For a better summation of this adventure, pay close attention to what follows: Mr. Jones realized that there are countless talented and business minded children, like little Sammy, who drop out of school or suffer "bad grades" simply because the value of education isn't evident to them. Samuel believes that it isn't enough to tell a child " the reason for a good education is so that one can attain a good job". They, like any reasoning adult, must see the value of what is being presented in ways that inspire the need to persevere beyond all obstacles in order to achieve. Case in point: some children will be motivated to study once they learn about Edison's perfecting of the light bulb. Other students will be motivated to study when they learn that Edison's business sense is what helped him to succeed in the light bulb business. Life Muzik is intensely focused on working with the school system to blaze a trail that will creatively instill the benefits of education in the young CEOs of tomorrow and the little Sammys and Samanthas of today.
