One of the most cited signs at occupy wallstreet locales has been one with the message "I won't believe corporations are people until Texas executes one."

Corporate personhood is a major issue at occupy wallstreet. Finally, ten years after Thom Hartmann wrote his landmark book, Unequal Protection, on the book, the issue is getting traction, with several bills in the house and senate and a new book by Jeff Clements, Corporations Are Not People just released.

Still, this has not been an issue that's been on the table in terms of presidential campaigns or debates. That was until the superpac Stephen Colbert just transferred to Jon Stewart,   Americans for a Better Tomorrow Tomorrow,  created an ad that pulls together a quote from Romney, affirming that corporations are people, with the idea of executing corporations.

The ad accuses Romney of being a serial killer because his company has acquired then disposed of corporations-- hence, killing them.

It suggests that as a person who has "killed multiple companies, he is like "Mitt The Ripper."

The ad shows a scene from an imaginary maternity ward, with the voice-over "If you believe that corporations are people...

It ends with a CGI mashup of Romney happily putting the logos of companies he presumably "killed" through a wood chipper.

Sadly, it does not look like the corpstream media, even MSNBC, are taking the cue to discuss corporate personhood as an issue. After all, the megacorporations which own the MSM don't want to give up the rights of personhood. The answer-- share this youtube video with your friends. At the time of this posting, there are about 4500 views for the youtube video. It would be nice to see a few million views.

This is a helpful video for all who support abolishment of corporate personhood even though it takes Colbert's usual tongue in cheek approach-- supporting a conservative issue that is totally deserving of opposition.
