As the demagogues of the West continue to feast on the bleeding body of Islam, by which I mean the heavy military, political and propaganda assaults going on throughout the world against various majority-Islamic countries by America, NATO and their proxies, with "Moslem" or "Islam" becoming pejorative terms in the popular idiom as any and everything Islamic is demonized, caricatured and ridiculed, Moslems often scapegoated as sub-humans just like the Jews were in earlier eras, indeed, with all this negativity being projected against a major portion of the global population, it is important to remember the great contributions made to humankind by Islam, particularly in the fields of science, mathematics and medicine.

Consequently, as vitriolic hatred, repression and violence against Moslems threaten to go viral not just in America, but also in Europe right now, it is time to confront these cartoon-villain slanders against one and a half billion people and their intertwined cultural heritages reaching back fourteen centuries. Thus I am posting the noted 3-part BBC documentary that came out in early 2009 entitled Science and Islam, which highlights the many cultural benefits the Islamic world has given to Europe and the rest of us over the centuries:

Obviously, few of you are going to be able to sit through all three parts at one time, so look at this as a history course on Islamic culture that you can return to again and again.
