This article that appeared today in Truth-out on Remembering the Real Martin Luther King by Stephen Zunes needs to be read and spread worldwide.  You may have heard Stephen Zunes' commentary on NPR.  He runs a Middle East Studies Program at the University of San Francisco, edits and writes for an academic journal on Middle East Politics, has written two books on Middle East and North African politics and conflicts.  He has also co- written a book on nonviolent direct action social movements and serves on a academic advisory panel on nonviolence theory and techniques. And by way of full disclosure, Steve was a part of a two week training program on nonviolent direct action campaigns that I co-facilitated back in the 1970's before he went to graduate school in Philadelphia. click here
