It's become clear to progressives that Obama stabbed us in the back, lying, betraying us, breaking campaign promises concrete or implied.

It's become clear to independents that Obama was no change maker.

It's become clear to many Democrats and a hell of a lot of independents that Obama is better friend to big corporations, banksters and Wall Street than to mainstreet and the middle class.

But, apparently, in spite of Robert Gibbs acknowledgment that YOU are screwed in November-- that the Republicans could win the house, and others' observations that the senate is now at risk, you haven't figured out that the Obama White House is not on YOUR side.

Now that you've passed the watered down financial reform bill that Obama's bankster insiders-- Geithner, Summers, Orszag, etcetera, pushed you to weaken, and you're facing angry voters who are seeing Obama's people blocking Elizabeth Warren, the best candidate for Head of the new consumer protection agency, you still don't get it, do you? You're being screwed by the Obama White House.

You're about to vote to fund Obama's Afghan war. That's right. I agree with Michael Steele. Obama inherited a small Afghan war and made it a big one-- his big one.
That doesn't mean YOU have to inherit it too. Get smart. Oppose funding it. Shut it down.

Wake up already. Smell the weak, diluted Obama coffee. That's right-- that's Obama's trademark-- weak, diluted legislation that everyone knows is weak and diluted.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, you've been screwed. You can make up after Gibbs takes his foot out of his mouth, but that doesn't change the reality that Obama has thrown your people to the wolves.

The question is, why are you continuing to take it? Why are you failing to stand up and face a president who is not on your side, not on the side of your constituents? Why aren't you doing something about it?

What can you do? Pass something that Obama doesn't like, that is stronger, stiffer, without holes in it. Pass something that is strictly for we the people. Pass something that even teapartiers can't complain about.

What can that possibly be? It's screaming at you, right in front of your faces. Refuse to provide further funding for the Afghan war. Bring home 50,000 troops and put them in the states afflicted by the gulf disaster. Send the troops home and keep them on the military payroll, but give them work fixing US infrastructure. Train them how to get jobs at home so they are not simply dumped into unemployment. Simply bringing the troops home should cut costs for them in half, at least.

Stand up to Obama and tell him to listen to Ron Paul and cut the number of US military bases in half. Close 25 within six months, 100 within a year, 300 within two years. That'll free up the money to pay for unemployment benefits and to create a 21st century conservation corps.

Pass legislation, or at least attempt legislation that gets the attention of under 30 voters, so they'll see how they are being particularly screwed by the worst of the two corporatist parties-- the Republicans.

I suggest you start with marijuana. Decriminalize it. Defund local police efforts to arrest users. Decriminalize possession of less than two or four ounces of marijuana. Why? Young people think this is a big deal. They support legalization. They will go to the polls to vote for candidates who support this and may go to the polls to vote against people who oppose its legalization. Currently, Obama has some anti-marijuana extremists running things

While you're at it, free prisoners who were convicted of marijuana possession. That'll save a fortune for states. It's a lot cheaper to have a person on welfare than keep him or her in prison-- probably one quarter the cost.

Offer the option for state and local governments to offer medicare to their employees. This will save them billions.
