Who knows anything about paperless electronic poll books?

Hello all:

My Washoe County (Nevada) is proposing
paperless electronic poll books for the 2008 elections. I don't have the details yet as this proposal will be made tomorrow for county commission
approval.

As one who had to fight to gain access
to Washoe County Poll Books - which where then turned
over for review minus their ballot statements -
paperless electronic poll books look like an
invitation to vote fraud.

I've heard rumors of electronic poll books but this is the first time I've been confronted with this in my own elections.

I'm looking for your input.
