Couldn't march, (a strange permitted route) up and down the same street. Sat under a tree just by the stage. Got to hear everybody (first time for that!). Had a mezzanine seat for the "Step Off".
Sitting on a borrowed camp stool, I had my sign. "George... You send YOUR twins and I'll send Mine. Lots of pix taken of this old lady and her protest.
I was joined off and on by others to share our frustration shaded by a formidible tree. Took lot's of POV pix. And happily, many images of children with their parents and their signs.
Saw the Buddihists pass by with a slow gentle grace. A drumming group, the Vermonters for Peace. It was by far the most satisfying non-march I've participated in. Restful almost, except for the hobbling about.
Working hard on transpo arrangements for March 17, To The Pentagon! (anybody know where I can rent a wheelchair in DC?) And hoping to secure some long term housing. I'm gonna go and this time I'm gonna stay awhile...

Yes, yes, I know it's ineffetive, under-reported, and entertainment for the mocking heads on the Tee Vee. But we are not citizens of the death camp towns who said they didn't know, and did nothing, said nothing, remained silent. Whatever did they think the smell was? B-B-Q?
We're going to keep doing it until we don't have to do it anymore.
March 17th will be my moment for civil disobedience. My chance to "occupy" the capitol. I've got a brand new sleeping bag. I hear Layfette Park is a good place to nap.
