The Eleven Ladies, The Eleven Daughters and The American Spring

Is it really necessary to have a president? What about a Board of Presidents ?. Yes. Board of Presidents (BOP) consisting of 11 presidents. So no more first ladies or first daughters. We might be talking in the future about the (Eleven Ladies) and the (Eleven Daughters). This is simply looking at government as if it is a corporate entity. The shareholders are the citizens.

This implies having a governmental Executive Committee (BOPEC) and an Audit Committee (BOPAC), which are subgroups of the BOP. This implies also having an Executive President (EP) and Chairman of the board, whom are both board members of the BOP. This structure intersects with existing structure in the position of Chairman of the board who is the President in the current system.

This change will solidify the executive branch of government in line with the other two branches, who are team-based not a single-person based. The current authority with the president has to be re-calculated and spread out on the new three presidential levels, namely the EP, BOPEC and the BOP, and is exercised as it is done in any major corporate.

While the Chairman of the Board matched the president in the existing system, the position EP matches the CEO in a corporate who run the day-to-day affairs up to a limit. The role of the chairman of BOP is to run the board not the country. Decisions beyond BOPEC are approved collectively by the board on a voting basis. If the votes are 5/5 then the chairman of the BOP will decide and this will be the highest decision in the government structure.

In a way, EP will be the president as we see him now except that BOPEC and BOP overrule him, within the executive branch. This might look to bureaucratic, but when you consider such decisions are affecting the life of hundred millions of people, you may say it is worth it. It is true that the current president's power is curtailed by the other two branches of government, but if this ever happen in the near or far future, it might be called the American Spring.

Remember the current political system, though modified over history, was set up to serve probably one tenth of the current US population. We live in a world where change is the name of the game, and if this hypothetical structure seems naive or even stupid for some, the fact is that nothing remains the same forever.

My last word is for Francis Fukuyama, the man of the End of History. The end of history is the end of man.
