Lurking in the shadows,
Stirring in the,
Deepest,
Most darkened,
Recesses,
Of our lives,
We find ourselves,
Driven with,
The half-crazened desire,
Of a beast,
To copulate,
To mount,
To force ourselves upon,
Nearly anything,
That looks,
Or perhaps even,
Smells,
Like a vagina.

But then,
As always,
We do our best,
To hide "the truth,"
To look good,
To look pretty,
For the people.

On Sunday we go to church,
Monday to the Rotary Club,
Then Tuesday there's golf at the country club,
On Wednesday we take Sue to her ballet lessons,
Thursday we watch Billy play T-ball,
Friday night is football with friends at the high school,
And Saturday,
An opportunity to solidify our standing in the community,
By partying with the creme de la creme!

But then one day,
When the sh*t,
Hits the fan,
The headlines the news,
Everyone will say,
But how could such a thing have happened,
He was such a fine man,
Such an outstanding citizen,
Without ever having realized,
That each and every one of us,
Every man........ that is,
Is plagued with "a demon,"
An id-like devil,
A tempter of the worst sort,
Placed at the very center of our being,
Ready and willing to destroy us,
At the lowest,
And most vulnerable,
Point of our lives.

Yea though I walk,
Through the Valley,
Of the Shadow of Death,
We must realize,
That only by,
The grace of God,
Do we go,
And without such humility,
We walk through life,
At our own peril!
