Normally I respect anyone's decision to pursue whatever vocation they desire.

But what exactly was former Congressman and sometimes presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich thinking when he chose to join Rupert Murdock's FOX NEWS outfit led by "chairman" Roger Ailes as a "contributor" on Bill O'Reilly's "The O'Reilly Factor"?

This is an outfit that spews propaganda lies and disinformation with total disregard for the truth.

Dennis joining FOX NEWS gives it a legitimacy it hasn't earned and certainly doesn't deserve.

Maybe as a retired Congressman and being a fairly young man (67) he needed the money?

Maybe he believes he can influence FOX NEWS "true believers" to consider his left leaning political positions?

Maybe he believes in the adage made famous in "The Godfather" movie where the aging "Don" Vito Corleone played by Marlon Brando told his son Michael Corleone, "Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer."

But hey, what about the real "Mafia" Dennis? They pay well. They may be making their "profits" illegitimately but they're no more suspect than the U.S. president who can choose to assassinate anyone on his "kill list" and have it "legalized" by Justice Department memos and kept secret by reasons of national security.

As to FOX NEWS or better "Faux News" run by Chairman Mao (oh sorry) chairman Roger Ailes, take the time to read a 2011 "Rolling Stone" piece called, "How Roger Ailes Built Fox News Fear Factory" by Tim Dickinson, May 25, 2011.

That article more than any I've seen relating to the FOX NEWS empire will give anyone a clear inside look of chairman Roger Ailes and the propaganda empire he's built and which Dennis Kucinich just joined.

It's a free country Dennis (well a country where you're still free to choose an occupation) but really joining Fox News?
