| The Special Rapporteur of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Philip Alston, described some of the heinous crimes committed against Congolese citizens after an investigation in eastern DRC. These atrocities are not being committed only by rebel forces, but by the Congolese Army itself against its own citizens. We have witnessed the means to the end, war meant to vanquish chaotic forces, become the end itself. |
