| Obama and Rahm Emmanuel have been making ominous threats to freshman Dems in Congress to whip up votes for the newest war appropriation. Though we might understand Obama's desire for war funding, we cannot stand for the tactic of quid-pro-quo blackmail to withhold re-election 'support' (DNC funding?) in exchange for specific votes. This is not change, nor representative democracy, this is Rahm channelling Nixon. |
