| The changing mood in Israel was reflected in the country's second biggest-selling newspaper, Maariv. A headline on its front page last week said, in Hebrew, 'Not by Force'. The paper said solutions to Israel's problems in Gaza needed to come by negotiation. This was not Haaretz.. Maariv is a tabloid with a big blue-collar audience -- middle Israel, the people who will be important in deciding the new government. |
