LENR-based, weak interaction ultra low momentum (ULM) neutrons have the potential to become a revolutionary technological tool in the nuclear power industry. In particular, ULM neutrons could be used to transmute dangerous long-lived radioactive isotopes found in nuclear waste (e.g., cesium, strontium, and technetium) into benign, stable elements.
